This group of photos in an exploration of the after phases of death and what that looks like and just how long it takes. For each of us the loss and seperation of the physical body from the pulling away of that individuals spirit or energy takes a long period of time.
Each of these works were conceived during and after the process of dying, and they were all a painful joy to make. These works were created in the need of gathering and processing these animals and people in such a way that I could personally release them form me.

When my father passed I created these vessels. They were used in a garden walk spreading ashes. This was inspired by a tiger lily.
